Yeah, but assuming all your tires have 40% tread on them, you'll have to replace two tires..because if you only replace one, your car will drive like ass.
Factor in environmental levies/recycling, taxes, and mounting/balancing, and now you're comparing $25 vs $300.
That being said, it's winter now, so it may be prudent to replace them.
