Ofcourse the residential segregation is choice.. Yet it is only choice because:

In Richmond, there are so many asians, that tons of asian specific shops base themselves in Richmond because they know they will prosper there. Same thing happens with EI's in Surrey.

I just wish that before one could buy property, or in fact live here, they had a Grade 5 level of English.

My brother had a low-impact collision where he bumped the car infront of him at less then 5km/h. (Merging from a stop) The driver he bumped wouldn't get out, and she locked her doors. She told my brother through the closed window "Husband and police coming."
The police gave the husband shit for wasting their, and the fire departments time. And the husband had to deal with my brother, who had wasted a good 30 minutes on an "accident" that left no marks on either vehicle just because some asian woman couldn't speak enough English to have a simple conversation.
