I recently learned that some people get uncomfortable with receiving gifts. I have made things for my SO that I expected a reaction from and got barely anything. I felt like I had put in all of that hard work and effort and it wasn't appreciated. Turns out, he just isn't used to people doing that sort of thing and is uncomfortable receiving gifts. I didn't realize this was a problem for people.
