My Dad bought a condo, maybe 10-15 years ago. The seller was a HK lady moving back to HK. She had a huge Sony CRT tv with an HK plug attached to it. We were hoping she would leave it for us, but I guess she took that gigantic TV back home.

Handed over, not returned. Hong Kong was never a part of the PRC, so couldn't be 'returned'. Thus it was handed over after the original agreement with a previous government expired.
Not a big deal but I feel the need to correct it every time I see someone say "returned"
