I used to ride around with older friends when I was like 14-15 in their cars, I remember once a bunch of us went to check out the hookers and I could not believe how many prostitutes we saw. Davie street was such an incredible shithole, it's hard to imagine today.
One of my high school teachers in like grade 9, an alternate school teacher, used to use the acronym "S.C.O.D.S." when he spoke of dropping out of high school.
"If you drop out, you'll be S.C.O.D.S., never forget that!" he would say.
