Gendering of roles does nothing for us but perpetuate an unhealthy outlook. So what if she is successful? She obviously wanted to get to you know. And while our social tropes tell us we are a shallow society....perhaps the benefit of the doubt wouldn't have hurt. I mean she did go to dinner with you after all.

I think it's also safe to remember that what one person wants, may not be what another wants.
Meaning, some girls/guys might weigh intellectual stimulation really high up there on their list of "preferences in a significant other," alongside physical and emotional stimulation. While others might not weigh intellectual stimulation as a "make-it-or-break-it" factor...
