So ended up with a mid level Yamaha receiver and the KEF q300s. I was considering the B&W but they ended up with being ~200 out of my price range. If I didn't get such a good deal on the KEFs I think I might have went with the PSBs. I think I stayed generally in my budget, but already thinking about a center speaker or sub. sigh
