If you use it the other way, the coding will mix into each other and get jumbled up so then the receiver won't be able to understand the information (audio). UNLESS of course you only have ONE source on at a time, and make sure the other one is not emitting any information at all.

so, if i hook up my ps3 and 4 to the splitter and the other end goes into my amp or turtle beach headset, as long as i have 1 source on at a time it should work n not interfere with each other?
