I was replacing the OEM low beams on my four door accord with Philips XtremePower 9006 Bulbs.

While the owner's manual mentions that you need to twist counter clockwise to remove the bulb, it did not mention, however, that you need to twist with significant force to remove the bulb.

Pro-tip: You can actually remove the passenger's side low beam from above. You can also remove the battery to access the driver's side bulb real easy - You will need the radio code when you reconnect it though.

Also, if you went with the fender liner removal method on the driver's side and broke some clips, Honda sells them for about a dollar a pop.
