How much do you want to spend? On the high side - a run bike (will be using it soon - between 1 year and 2 years old) or a decent push car or foot to floor cars are great gifts.

If you are thinking cheaper than that, then any toy that they can chase or push, as they start to really go from walk to run this next year. Our boys and our neighbours boys all had some form of pushing lawnmower toy that they loved for years. Ours would blow bubbles if you added the liquid. See pic below



Something simpler:



My wife saw my typing this, reminded us of a Fisher Price train toy we had that would move on it's own (slowly) and would play music and balls would spit out the back if the child dropped them in the funnel up front. Every child loved this train - as they learn to crawl/walk and even afterwards.
