If I recall they come with drum brakes from the factory, which was probably not your case. Which also means op will be required to do a disc conversion in the front.
I've seen those discs, it's a single sided 240mm disc. Roughly the size of a typical rear brake on your run of the mill supersport. Again, not sure how great they work, but you'll be able to better gauge for us once you start riding this Summer as you've been on both sides of the fence. Depending on the bike you get, your decision may be swayed then.
I'm used to my brakes taking me from 250 down to 150 after I hit the first brake marker up until I tip in, and I'm not even fully able to exploit my own brakes yet.
With a good set of rubber in the rain you can even make your rear wheel lift off the ground, so I think that's where we may differ in our conception of good stopping power.
