Opinions on Plasti Dip - Becoming more than just a trend?

The Plasti Dip scene seems to be rapidly expanding down south (and up here in BC too!)

Looks like it's no longer being seen as just a cheaper alternative to vinyl wraps or actual car paint - some of the results look spectacular with the new additions in pearl pigments and other additives that are being added to create all kinds of effects

It's not just Plasti Dip itself anymore - major companies such as Eastwood are offering their own lines of "ElastiDip" which is compliant with Canadian markets so rubberized coatings like these will be much more accessible.

What's everyone's thoughts and opinions on the advancements of Plasti Dip?
Is this just the beginning of rubberized vehicle coatings? Will vinyl wraps be left behind as these "rubberized coatings" are cheaper, flexible, applied quicker?
