I agree seat count isn't everything but what I'm saying is if they go for VLA (higher seat count), the A388 makes more sense than the 748i. And realistcally, to put the final nail in the coffin, the 777X can do pretty much the 748i can at a much lower cost.

Cargo is definitely a large portion of CX's revenue and the 77W are excellent as they provide a lot of LD3 space. I think AC had to cancel/defer some of their 77F to something else like the 788 or 77W/L because they realize the 777 had so much cargo capabilities.
