Scheduler/Trading Positions

Hey guys,

Anyone here in power or energy scheduling? I'm currently working procurement at Husky Energy in Calgary and I'm looking to get out into the supply and trading side. Applying like mad to any oil&gas firm with scheduling or analyst positions on trading floors but currently no luck yet. Just not sure what these firms are specifically looking for.

I have a finance degree at SFU, with some portfolio management and basic commodity trading experience in university competitions while I was in school. I did some digging and physical trading as a scheduler seems to be the best way to get into paper trading.

Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
