Sounds like a protest to me. A knee sprain/strain isn't something that can really be tested for. The doc is going to put you through your range of movement and ask when it hurts. Not very scientific, and definitely a lot easier than faking an MCL tear, or a break.

except theres this thing called swelling that goes along with knee sprains. you can also get knee locks with a sprained knee, making the recovery time longer. also mcl/acl injuries cannot always be seen through xrays, lots of them are found out through motion tests. but im sure because he wants a trade he injected his knee with water to fake the swelling...
