Vancouver Velocity Cars are our event sponsor!
I've attached a press release from Blitzgear down below. Feel free to pass on. Also be sure to follow @blitzgear and @revscene or #revscenespringmeet for more exclusive updates!
Traffic and Crime Reporting Volunteers:
If you want to do your part and keep this community going, as rb has said, please sign up and volunteer in the Support Forum. Here's your chance to walk the talk. We will have reflective safety vests and we will provide an exclusive RS traffic T-shirt (for you as a memorabilia). You will also get an official Certificate of Appreciation from us (good for building your resume with community volunteer hours).
Police:
I also want to do an open invite to police officers, on-duty or off-duty. I know some of you are on here as RS members. We need your presence and support more than ever. You are absolutely welcome to come and join us. If you manage to find me, look for jACE, I will be happy to provide lunch from the Food Carts to you and your partners. There will also be exclusive VIP parking for you set aside.
Car Clubs:
For the 2014 Spring Meet, you are welcome to BBQ amongst yourselves and set up your tents and tables with your members. That is ok. After all, it's the beach. However, we do encourage you to support our Food Trucks though as they are the ones funding this event (and we want them to keep coming out to our events). We also ask that you regulate your own members behaviours and clean up after yourselves.
RS Merchandise:
There will be stuff on sale. Your usual rs.net decals and shirts. *There will be a limited batch of the vertical transformers rs decals (available in chrome, gold and matte white). So bring your wallet and cash! All the proceeds goes to your volunteer mod staff to keep this good thing going year after year.
Collective responsibility:
If you see property being damaged, e.g. burnouts or drifting, the best thing YOU can do is:
1. Record the description of the driver
2. Record the make and model and plate number of the vehicle
3. Record the time and place in as much detail
4. Try your best to take a clear photo or video of the act being committed
The reality us that our traffic volunteers cannot be everywhere at once. So if u can't help us by volunteering, then u can still shame offenders by being ready to report if you see something happen. Remember, it's your community too.
Prizes and free SWAG
Yup. Stay tuned. At the very least we have prizes from our friends at Soundsgood Auto and our Revscene prize pot! Please check back
