I remember vividly because up until that point Naslund way favorite player so I always had the spot light on him. But in the last 2/3 years of him being captain it was a disgrace the way he led this team, if you could call it "leading" the guy was emotionless and his play had fallen off a cliff. If you want to talk about a decline with the Sedins that's the mole hill to Naslunds mountain.

I know what you mean... but I also think we don't really know what happened in the background? Maybe he didn't even want to be captain and was forced into it? I completely agree he looked depressed and downtrodden and I felt like it rubbed off on the team... but I think it's management's mistake for keeping him with the C when it's obvious he wasn't the right kind of guy for that (at least outside the locker room)...... I don't really feel like it discredits what a great player he was though. Just another poorly handled situation by the Canucks on the management side of things.
