That was perhaps the worst fight we've seen from Melvin. I think Johnson being a former teammate played with his head a little bit. That being said it wasnt like he had a string of bad fights, he usually is exciting and goes for the knockout. Isnt that what the UFC brass loves the most? He's been in the UFC 9 years, granted there were some major ups and downs, but thats a long time. I thought since hes been around that long and how exciting he CAN be, the UFC would have given him another shot at it. But i guess thats been the story with Melvin his whole career, you see flashes of greatness, like he can be champion, then completely invisible. His previous NC fight with Ross Pearson was unfortunate, but again, the guy was going for the finish.

I think he'll string a few KO's together in another promotion and have a final go in the UFC.
