i've found just hoping online and finding what's around you with good ratings is pretty easy to do in san fran.
it's such a big city there's always something relatively close by.
San Tung chinese restaurant was great. like being back in chinatown in the 80's. stupid busy place. absolutely hit the spot for some classic chinese.
Domo was a nice little japanese place. basically no cooked food. it was right in our hood, open late and licensed. they made a japanese taco that was different and tasty.
Ton Kiang was decent, but it's really getting dim sum for dinner that was awesome. has a few good dishes has a few meh dishes, i'd call it an average dim sum place if it was in vancouver. there's no way any chinese person would call this the best or top 5 dim sum place imo. the bbq pork spareribs were great though.
