If you want to be fancy and you get live shrimp, put them in a bowl and give them a nice rose wine bath from BCLiquor (instead of the salted version at Asian supermarket).. then just blanche them. You can finish it with egg white if you want. This works the best as the shrimps are still alive, my friends and I do it on the boat just on Howe sound. The shrimps just go into toxic shock, as the alcohol gets into their bodies. there are so many oyster mushrooms now you can make an easy meal / picnic. They are so easy to catch, just drift and with pretty much any net you will easily get a dozen or so, heck even with a sea kayak. Then use fresh pasta to catch to sauce.
If you want to eat with the shells too, flambe them with a bit of oil and higher % alcohol, with some brandy or whiskey. Do the math first, as getting mass to ignite require quite a bit of precision. I find it the best to do it with a Pyrex bowl, as you can see the fire going to adjust the air fuel ratio.
