I'm more excited to see what progress he can make after an off-season with Rollie.
Given the leaps-and-bounds improvement in Lack's game coming off of hip surgery, I'm guessing that someone with a bit more natural talent (based on previous career) like Markstrom would be able to reap more benefits. And also considering Markstrom's age, we're basically allotted a couple of years before we can expect to see whether he's number-1-goalie material. Let's not forget Cory Schneider didn't really get thought of as elite until he was about 26. That's 2 years from now for Markstrom.
Plus he's so damn huge. Given his pedigree it wouldn't be too surprising imo if he turned out like Mike Smith, or more recently, Ben Bishop.
