Marty Havlat is a shell of his former self from his Ott/Chi days. He had like groin reconstruction surgery in the off-season and really only until the last 10-15 games has he looked remotely effective, his game breaking speed is gone but his hands are still there. With all that ragging said though, he did put up 22 pts in 48 games which doesn't look like much but 20/22 were at even strength which is actually pretty good. The problem with him is he seems to only play well with Marleau-Couture, but Nieto > Havlat right now on that line. It is nice to know though should a winger get injured that there are guys like Havlat and Tyler Kennedy waiting to come in.
