since nik isn't on during the day, like he said he would .. and because CRS is a homo whose with his GF right now .. I decided to tweak my settings a bit (I've been blindly following online guides upto this point)
How I had been playing (Objects Normal, Terrain very high, Clouds off (kills FPS but vital for night play), Shadows off (draws shadows but also helps hide players + kills FPS) -- Fraps shows this scene gave me 50 FPS
Decided to turn terrain to low, and look what happens -- All the short grass that can hide a player/loot disappears and i jump to 76 FPS!
This is gonna be huge at the airfield where all the trees are surrounded by this kind of small grass that can obscure your scope/hide enemies nearby
Cranked my objects quality to max (allows you to see farther, or so I've read) and only lost ~8 FPS:
