I'm riding on a set of Bridgestone Battlax S20 that i've had for a year now, no issues whatsoever with them. they warm up pretty quickly (although not as quick as the softer Pirelli tires) but they hold the heat nicely and are very predictable. Also it's a multicompound tire and i've ridden mostly on highway and so far the middle patch doesn't look any more worn out than the sides are.
Good on you that you're going for tires right away cause I did the same thing when I first got my bike. I got mine when it had only 600km on the odo but it had been sitting for almost 5 years so the tires had cracks like you would not believe.
