The class size and special needs argument I'm okay with but salary demands, not so much.

According to this article an average teacher makes $81,500. I'm sorry, but I don't want to see my taxes go up to pay for a 13.7% increase because I think their remuneration is more than reasonable, especially when you consider their benefits package is one that most people would envy.
