It's more than a "frame crack", I've been talking with the owner back and forth about it. Sounds like pans and lower a-pillars are rotten, which means the heater channels are as well. Based on what he's told me and the photos, it's not unrestorable, it's just not likely to be economically reasonable to restore it.
Buyer who arrived apparently doesn't understand "unsafe to drive" and thus passed on it. I've made my offer and he's holding the car for me until either a) he accepts my offer, or b) passes. Here's hoping! My '75 is solid where his isn't, and rotten where his is. Would be nice to combine the two for one solid car.
