You do seriously have a problem with self elevation.
Even if I did work at mcdonalds or shaking bubble teas, does that mean I am any less entitled to not get bullied at my place of work?
I understand your approach, but that's definitely NOT how it has to be. If I don't feel like joking around about something, and trading shots like that with someone, I have EVERY right to open my mouth and say STOP.
OP has that same right, in fact everyone does. You come off as the type of person that would keep pushing the person after that until they explode.
