It depends how lifelike you need it to be. My fiancee is a RDH and the one she had from school was a lot of money.

Why not look for the "fake" one that usually has a wind-up to chatter? If you're just teaching kids how to brush, then you don't really need a realistic one to keep long-term.



Also, you can always ask your dentist. They have a few lying around in the offertories, and if you're a good patient I can't see them saying no to letting you borrow one for a bit to teach your kids correct dental hygiene.
