what kind of video card is in your current rig? i actually suggest carrying that over for a few months and wait for the new cards if you're not gaming much these days (or just go for the cheap 750 ti). I'm also thinking 16GB ram is better in your case.

My current setup is 7 years old. Using a 8800 GTS.
I'm slowly going to wait it out for prices to drop since I plan to collect the parts slowly in the next few months, not a big rush. Just that, I want to do my research and get a feel on what's out there that should be aware of as I haven't built a setup for 7 years lol.
