Yeah V6 auto trannies are notorious for grenading. I had a manual 4 banger and it was pretty reliable. Serpentine belt snapped on me the first day of ownership (not covered by warranty as its considered a perishable

). The transmission did end up going but I think it wad more due to the original owner grinding gears more than a design flaw. Sold it at a quarter million miles and by that point a few issues had come up - door lock control unit died, axles being eaten, etc. All said though, it's one of the few cars I highly regret selling. The engine was reliable as hell and it was even still on the original clutch.
