Not sure how many of you have flown on Rouge service routes, but it's mostly a 3x3 seating config and pretty bare bones with no entertainment (if that matters to you.)

They offer an in-flight WiFi service where you log into their wifi network on your phone, laptop, or tablet device then stream content from there. Kind of neat, I suppose. Make sure you bring headphones and that your device is fully charged! There are no USB or power outlets for you to use. If you want to watch the movies and don't have a device, iPads can be rented for $10, but most of their flights are < 4 hours or so, so it's not a big deal.

One thing that is different is that the service staff are much younger and upbeat so it was refreshing. I wasn't sure what to think of it during my first flight but on the return trip home, it was great. You can really see them going out of their way to make passengers happy.

Oh, and just a pro-tip - LAX Terminal 2 is undergoing some renovations or repairs so it can be a bit noisy and an eye sore if that matters to any of you.

I got thrown to the back of the plane unfortunately so c'est la vie (no big deal, really.) Here's a quick shot of what the seats look like.
Spoiler!
I was thrown onto a Rouge economy flight from Anchorage to YVR immediately after a 10 hour flight by my company. Honestly, it was the most brutal 3.5 hours I have ever been in an airplane. Seat pitch sucked, even for my relatively shorter 5'-7" figure I could not fit properly in the seat - nevermind the general North American 6'-0"+ person. Seats were thin as hell, meaning you felt every move of the person behind you trying to squeeze into his/her seat.

Washrooms were dirty as hell by mid-flight, even by low-cost standards.

On the plus side media streaming was actually quite nice, they had a full season of Parks and Rec on, which made the time pass a bit better - NOTE: CONTENT STREAMING IS ONLY FREE DURING CERTAIN MONTHS/TIMES, AND WILL NOT WORK ON ANDROID BROWSERS (APP IS REQ'D UNLIKE iPADS)

I arrived in Mumbai about 1.5 weeks ago, new terminal is fantastic - very beautiful. But yes, it is ridiculously disorganized with people and PAPERWORK EVERYWHERE. I don't know if it was only because I was coming in as part of a crew... but there were so many different forms to fill in and pass around it felt like I was getting indoc'd at a prison.
