Its time for a bit of an update, this thread's collecting dust! Kind of went MIA on everybody over the last two months. As a few of you probably know, I was involved in a pretty big accident on track back in mid June while at the Ridge Motorsports Park. Won't dive too much into the details but it was a bit of a freak accident, and essentially manifested into a 4-5 bike pile up.
The result was a separated shoulder and broken scaphoid/distal radius on my throttle hand, so this Summer was more or less a write off. Undergone surgery with an orthopedic specialist on June 21st, and just had my pin sites removed 3 weeks ago. I'm just finally back on the road to recovery. Doing physio 3 times a week to stretch out the tendons and regain range of motion back in my wrist. Strength is still at 20% and my range of motion is still only at 30% but I'm happy with the progress so far given the short time it's been.
Some pics from the day of the accident!
CharlieH striking a pose

typical antics in the pit between our sessions
Asked EvilX the samething, but this was all I could get out of him.
Taken shortly before the crash

only photo I got this year unfortunately. I was really bummed out I didn't get an action shot with the rest of the guys. CharlieH and EvilX got some pretty bad ass photos from their last trip down on the 17th of Aug, I'm hella jelly.
Then the crash....

they had to cut me out of my gloves and one piece. I'm the one in black on the ground in this screen shot.
**the photo after the x-ray is graphic**
One week post crash. 1 plate and 11 screws later, an x-ray of my wrist. It looks like someone's carpentry project from highschool.
External fixator/pin site was used due to my fracture being in a delicate location. The surgeon said he's seen the procedure/internal hardware come undone before in the past, before it's fully healed. Maybe its over kill but it was just a extra means of precaution.
Three weeks after surgery, first time seeing the bike post crash! Damage assessment:
-Body work
-Windscreen
-Throttle Cable from throttle kit needed replacing
-Bent rear rim (shout out to greens wheel repair for the awesome job)
-Sato rearset components required replacing, stuff holds up pretty well
-Tail light
-Right Clip-On Bar
-Scraped up exhaust
-Rear tire (7 laps old

)
For those that want to see the removal of my pin site, I had it filmed on video:

Day I had my pinsite removed, this was 5 weeks post surgery.
1 week from that day, the holes healed over nicely.
The incision for the hardware in my wrist! But enough about this, back to my bike.
Annnnnnnd new body work is in! Big shout out to GP Fairings, they never disappoint. Quality on the paint and vinyls are superior to other brands of aftermarket bodywork in the market. This would come to be my second set of body work from them.
Diggin under the tank so the new throttle cables can go in!
Rearsets repaired, and still one of my favourite pieces of hardware on the bike! GP shift pattern with bazzaz standalone quickshift
Slowly coming together, new colour scheme for next year huehuehue
It's finally starting to look like a motorcycle again.
Dremmel skills, can I haz? Holes trimmed for the woodcraft frame sliders.
ALAS! Returned to its former glory (well, sort of) lol. Decided to go with the 2010 scheme. Figured adding a bit of contrast looks nice, plus it compliments my rims!

Tail light and new rear tire installed as well. I'm finally back, have some more updates coming soon!
