I suspect the overall best router brand right now is Asus.
In my opinion Linksys should not be your choice. I have owned a couple dozen Linksys products.
I presently use a Netgear router and I am extremely happy. But I have only used 4 Netgear wireless devices.
I am basing my comments solely on the wireless performance. The wired and routing performance of all router has never concerned me. They were all excellent in this regard.
