Well, the big 4 carriers all need you to be on a Share Everything Plan or at least an $80+ plan to be able to subsidize your iPhone.
For example, if you have an old $55-60 6GB plan, they won't be able to offer you an HUP and will need you to change your plans to a Max Plan(Fido) or a Share Everything Plan(Rogers).
Retention won't be able to do anything this time, maybe OOP but that's a stretch.
