Were you close friends before you dated? Do you honestly see yourselves hanging out together as friends (without banging) now that you're not dating?
Unless you genuinely have lots in common and will be seeing each other at a lot of events, or hanging out with mutual friends, just cut the cord now and save yourself the awkwardness that will probably ensue from this "Friendship".
