It's still a big problem in Europe.
Over the past year or so I've watched as desirable air cooled Porsches have been stolen from California and never recovered. The alarm is never set off the the immobilizer is either bypassed or the car is just towed. The cars are likely put in containers never to be seen again Canada/USA.

Seems like a good deal on the E46 6spd M3 coupe for $14,000? I understand 01-03 have their issues, but why does milage affect the price so drastically? Perhaps that would make a great daily and autoX car.
