Your parents are some kind of uptight to get upset over an accident like that. Maybe I come from a fucked up family but I'm pretty sure my family would feel bad for the girl for falling but laugh at everything else.
I'm probably not the person to answer your original question because I really could give a fuck what my parents think of girls I'm dating (before I was married). Since you're asking the question I'm going to say yeah, why not break it off find someone that meets your parental approval mold or better yet maybe they can arrange a women for you.
