Car had a US spec exhaust and should be replaced with a proper euro spec exhaust. Car needs a new carpet as its torn quite badly behind the center console. Armrest is missing (not a bad thing, I fucking hate mine.) I wouldn't be running a race bucket and no airbag without harnesses and a cage, so either way, something should be done about that. If you want the car to thrash, about 2.5k and some time in your garage should suffice, if you want the car to be a driver that you want to take on road trips, have look amazing and a few days at the track I'd say you'd hit that 5k mark when all said and done. This info is all based on the thought that the current owner has addressed none of the previous problems, that it had when he purchased the car a year ago. If someone drove the car for a year WITHOUT dealing with things like a cracked subframe and fucked up rotors, I wouldn't even consider buying a car from them though.
My opinion:
By the time all is said and done you are going to be into the car for 12-13k and its still not an M3. Its as good as one, but it wont carry the same value when you sell it. Also the last INCREDIBLE eurospec M3 I saw for sale was 14k, and you are going to be able to sell that car for 14k or more until the economy completely takes a shit again.

I was the one who drove out to langely late last night to see the car. Current owner has not addressed any of the issues at all , however he did purchase the subframe reinforcement kit . Just not installed. Car has rough idle, mushy brakes and the cracked frame makes loud noises when making right turns. Interior isn't in the best condition for a car that has so little miles . Like westopher said - I wouldn't consider this car at all knowing the fact that it's been driven for a hard 8,000km with significant damage to the frame. Car has potential just not for me. FYI he is now asking $10k for it , not $9.
