iirc the correct criminal code section is s.355 for possession of stolen property under $5000.
tbh, i'd give the mounties a call and explain the situation to them. if you are in possession of stolen property its required that you return the property to the original owner even at your own expense. otherwise you'd be breaking the law.
worst case, the status quo remains and you wont recover anything. best case scenario, you get your wheels back, possibly find leads towards getting your car back (in pieces or whole) and most importantly some justice if the guys who stole your car are arrested and tried in court.
