If one system does get games first, it's usually a day or 2 earlier so it's not a big deal. Get the system that your friends have if you're a big online player and like playing with them. Otherwise, get the system that has the controller that you feel comfortable holding. I prefer the ps4 controller and the majority of my friends have ps4's so the choice was easy for me
