Porsche, De Tomaso, Ferrari, Lamborghini, you name them, none of them were reliable.
Constant oil leaks, clutch change at every 3,000kms, engine rebuilt at 10,000kms, and electronics(engine management, all the gauges, sensors) kept failing as little as few hundred kms. Door hinges, locks, wiper motors, pretty much everything.
Acura NSX completely changed the game, taught Lambo and Ferrari huge lesson. Same as Lexus LS400. Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Bentley, etc were all jokes in terms of reliability.
Gordon Murray, the chief engineer of McLaren F1 said that despite the lack of horsepower in NSX, he would give NSX 7/10 or 8/10 and Ferrari and Lambo are both 2/10 or 3/10.
