Very unlikely there's a pool of water somewhere inside the body. That would mean there's a hole somewhere between the drain tubes and fender... highly unlikely.
I would second the belief that you are hearing the gasoline in your tank sloshing around. I hear it all the time especially since I stripped my trunk lining due to 3 water leaks. I stopped caring about them.
