I was looking at Golf Rs in December pretty seriously. They are pretty rare cars, the only other one locally I could find at the time was a Nissan downtown a 2012 for $35K. I test drove that one and it seemed fine, but too expensive, no room for negotiation.
It's hard to compare pricing because the cars are so rare. I ended up getting a 2015 4dr GTI autobahn for less money - it just didn't seem worth the premium. I think when they release the new Rs in the summer, the price of these will drop significantly.
