I wouldn't worry much about depreciation, rare(ish) and desirable Fords tend to hold their value pretty well. Agree that their regular cars aren't worth anything after a few years.
Lol @ STI starting at 38k, that model is so basic and stripped down it's not really good for anything but a track only build, don't think I've ever seen one on the road in that trim.
