Yes you could've worked things out if it was JUST the drugs and he was willing to completely give it up, but this guy unfortunately sounds a bit imbalanced, with the possibility of hurting you emotionally and potentionially physically.
You will find someone a lot more suited to what you want in a man, you just might have to be very patient lol
