Yeah I showed visible signs of being upset too late, and all it essentially did was make her stop crying and hug me saying it's ok and she stopped bitching 
Funny thing is the argument happened right before we went to a friends' house for a party/dinner, which went great, and afterwards it was as if nothing even happened.
