There are scammers, you just have to be careful. I only deal through the lounge and never add people to steam. If I post a trade I just ask for a steam offer to be sent and you cant be scammed that way (my profile is public so anyone can send offers without having to add them). One thing I see constantly are people advertising weapons that have a different wear on them. eg. Weapon A up for trade on lounge is a AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested) but actually in their inventory its Battle-scarred. Sometimes when you go to input the items for trade you dont notice the wear. Just small things you have to check for before confirming the through steam. Also be very careful about clicking links people have sent you. Some contain key loggers. Sites like st
aemcommunity.com with letters switched around and you dont notice, put your user name/pw in and boom your account is gone.
