For what it is worth, I have been tracking my totally bone stock 7th gen beater Civic 4 door sedan at Mission in the past 2 years. The car is as slow as a slug -- I think I managed to barely break the 120 km/h barrier at the end of the front straight before I got onto the brakes. The car rolls like a yacht that is about to flip over, and I was riding on stock size all season rubber mounted on stock rims. I was pointing everyone by to pass me as soon as a straightaway comes up (though I'd like to think that I was holding my own in the T4-5-6 transitions, the T7a/b chicane, and the T8-T9 turns). Still, it was a boatload of fun, with the body roll to match, and it just goes to show that anyone can have a tremendous amount of fun in the plainest, simplest little car at a race track.
As long as it is mechanically sound, you can probably take it out to the track.
