It all depends on what your end game is. One important thing I learned last spring from a guy I was renting a garage from; you can't be "attached" to a car you take to the track. If you're truly wanting to beat the piss and race the shit out of your car you will never know your true potential if you're driving something you deemed to a collector. I'd say wait a bit, cut up your current car, do some mods, and then flog the piss out of it. What's the use in having a nice car if all you do is stare at it in the garage?
That's my opinion. Obviously, you should probably just own both cars. One to appreciate in value and never drive and one to beat up
