No, your problem is you don't have confidence. "I am terrible at this, terrible at that", you can do well if you just put your mind to it. Unless you have brain damage from inducing drugs or dropped on your head as a baby, I don't see how terrible you can be.
As far as the family shit, if that's what she expects you to do, to meet her family on the first or second date... go tell her to fuck herself. What kind of bitch puts a guy through that much pressure on the first date, not to mention the first year.
Whichever one of these bothers you the most, go deal with it head on like a man. Being scared or being forced into isn't going to help you at all. If it's a yes, then do it. If it's a no, tell her and move on.
